ITS A WRAP!

Gatsh IT.MIX AND MISS.

WE tried.WE really tried to ignore it..NO MATTER who you are..where you from, this trend is out to get us all.I caught this bug last year(thanks to  stylist JUNE AMBROSE<3) but i didnt wan' be a trend whore  follower.IT.JUST.wasnt my tingg.anwas the trend that survived, infected many tribes around the world..every And any skin colour..(watever) you wan call it the HEADWRAP/ DUGU/ TUKWI/TURBAN.
TUKWI(Botswana-Setswana language)/Turbans/headwraps have been worn throughout countless cultures. Sikhs wear these wrapped-up headpieces for religious reasons and it’s believed Arabs historically wore them to shield themselves from the desert sand and sunlight. Its uses or meaning can vary depending on the country and/or religion.

The turban is our Guru's gift to us. It is how we crown ourselves as the Singhs and Kaurs who sit on the throne of commitment to our own higher consciousness. For men and women alike, this projective identity conveys royalty, grace, and uniqueness. It is a signal to others that we live in the image of Infinity and are dedicated to serving all. The turban doesn't represent anything except complete commitment. When you choose to stand out by tying your turban, you stand fearlessly as one single person standing out from six billion people. It is a most outstanding act.SO SAYS THE SIKHS.

For US, africans, It is a connection between past and present, and between the Africans that came to the Americas as slaves and those who remained in Africa. It is a historical fashion accessory that spans from pre-slavery Africa to the wardrobes of Black women all over the world in the present day.
In Ghana opportunity to wear a duku usually falls on a religious day of Friday , Saturday or Sunday, depending on if they are Muslim, Seventh-Day Adventists or Sunday church-going Christians.
In Botswana Tukwi is worn to show respect(black) at funerals and worn in any colour for weddings.
ohkay..back to fashion..
If you have not mastered the art of tying a turban/headwrap  yourself (fromscarves and/or scrap material), June’s turban line is a great alternative as they have been creatively constructed by the “Queen of Turbans” herself.

REVERSE COWBOY

MIX AND MISS.Gatsh IT.
YESS.i know 4days.. awol..BUT SOO much has happened ..we dnt know where to begin.(fashion) wise..
Some people's  MIX AND MISS blows me! Like i don't get it , it is absolutely horrendous and sometimes my eyelashes fall out just from catching a quick glance over at the woman in the misshapen OVER SIZED mid 90's suit and running shoes. why??
Like as if she's never heard of a tailor, she manages to outdo herself by wearing her jogging trainers with the mix. I can deal with the very bad choice in attire but did you also have to kill me with the shoes. And by all means don't even forget the thick , double ribbed ankle socks.
The suit has come a long way since the 1660’s and today’s suit designs are endless. Different colours with various mix-and-match garments, like shorts, flares, big shoulders, high waists; the list goes on. The one thing that all these suits have in common, however, are that they
possess the ability to make you feel powerful, look smart and create a good first impression.

Because you know what they say........ FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE THE MOST LASTING.

Ladies, this is your version of the tailored suit. Please take note and get into that dressing/fitting room before you buy an over sized SUIT.
TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE NO RIGHT...unless youGaTsh Fros:)

On A scale of 1-10, with 10 being most comfortable, these are about 9.5 in terms of comfort. don't let the heel height scare you, the platforms are there simply to neutralize the situation. No pain, More gain.
